Today me and my friend Aaron went to see a few museums.
We first went to L’Orangerie which used to be the old orange orchard i believe in the Tulleries Gardens.. Now it hosts the famous Monet “Water Lillis” in a light that changes how you look at them depending on the time of day. It also hosts some works by Picasso, Matisse, Renoir, and Cezanne. It was cool to see these works, as well as others I had never heard of, but my favorite still were these water lilies. They are placed in this white, curved, circular room with just enough natural light coming in from the top. There is a round bench in the middle for you to sit and just enjoy watching the light play off of these amazing paintings.
In one room is was the lighter colored ones-more happy blues, purples, greens. In the other room was a darker collection of darker blues, greens, purples, etc. It was truly incredible to be face to face, in real life with these famous paintings. It was almost as if you could see Monet working on them in front of you. So, of course I had to take a picture to show I was there
Next we went to the Louvre, which was just on the other side of the Tulleries (the garden). Which will be my next blog in the morning.

Now I really am jealous Kat. I would love to see the Monet Water Lilies. I just need to convince Sam to want to go to France.
